NINJA COVID 2025
Are we doomed to repeat 2016 to 2919 since we didn’t lean the first time around?
Yes folks, COVID is still with us and I got it and it was a bad. Much worse than the first time I had it in the waning days of the 2019 pandemic. I might have come in contact with it on my travels in the southern states which have been a known hot spot – but I really have no idea how or where I got it.
I have heard (with no factual confirmation) that there is a so called ‘Ninja COVID’ going around. I am inclined to believe that’s the version I encountered. BTW I am current on all possible vaccinations. This makes me contemplate a number of questions regarding where we are heading in this great (or perhaps once great) nation of ours. Following are a few of my concerns and questions:
Will there be any more research on COVID variations – or Bird Flu virus vaccines?
What research on other diseases will be canceled by our self-declared King?
Will herd immunity be the prevailing policy of this current administration?
Will medications through Medicare still be available?
Will of medications prices be controlled or big pharma price gauging run rampant?
Will I be able to afford any medications I may need in the future?
IN RE: per the last question; I checked into Paxlovid when I first tested positive for COVID and my copay was nearly $700. There was no copay the first time I needed it in 2021.
Regarding my first question; I heard through our oh so informative main stream media that H.H.S. Secretary RFK wants to let bird flu strains just go through the nations flocks so that the survivors will be stronger. As Mr. Rogers would say ‘Can you say herd immunity?’

Radio talk show host Thom Hartman has pointed out numerous times that the day after the New York Times published a piece about Black people being disproportionately impacted by COVID, Trump et al. cut back significantly on the federal response.
And this leads me to an even darker rabbit hole of thoughts on where we, as a nation, are headed. So I ask you readers to indulge my slightly COVID tainted rant that follows.
WHITES ONLY TO RETURN?
Clearly, the Trump Musk team wants to take us back to the ol’days of segregation and all that rides along with it; health care being only one aspect.
It should understood that all the actions our current leadership is taking that are intended to punish minorities tend to boomerang back to hit all of us – unless we happen to be in that (supposedly) exempt millionaire/billionaire tier.
T&M have cut funding for medial research and laid off FDA scientists.
The T&M Presidential tag team and their lackeys have scrubbed all references to Black people and their accomplishments from federal and military web sites.
Other terms they don’t’ like are also being deleted. In a darkly humorous turn, that included historic information on the Enola Gay, the plane that dropped the first atomic bomb that was named after the Captain’s mother.
They have purged the upper echelons of our military of minorities in leadership positions.
This retrograde administration also removed the ban on segregation at federal facilities. (It’s no coincidence that shadow President Musk has been in trouble at his companies for discriminatory practices).
Mr. T has floated a pardon for Derek Chauvin.
This listing of macroaggressions by the administration is just a sample of the actions taken so far.
We should have learned of our orange king’s deep seated racist leanings from his first term – but many of us apparently didn’t.
And Mr. Musk’s intentions…
This unelected Tsar’s directions, intentions and actions should be easily understood. His credentials are impeccable, in an upside down way. He was raised in apartheid South Africa by a wealthy privileged family and fled when that repressive regime collapsed. He now wants to implement apartheid in America. Some people say…Trump Musk want to bring back eugenics, 2025 style. The skinny on him is out there if one wants to indulge.
One of his first major acts was to attack and attempt to take down USAID which provides services to a number of sub-Saharan African countries. Musk believes they assisted in overthrowing apartheid.
As a final thought…I have heard whispers, in friendly company, that real goal of all these Presidential orders that rescind the progress of the last several generations is to bring on mass demonstrations or even race riots so mango Mussolini can declare a national emergency.
It’s back to the future folks – unless this ruling cabal is somehow derailed.

Sorry to hear you contracted Covid again, Mark. We're certainly not through with that virus, and we were never through with the Long Covid form of it that people suffer with. When we recall the foolishness of Trump last time around, and the lives that were lost in the most capable nation in the world, adding someone like RFK to the mix is setting things up for a covid return or other pandemics of horrifying proportions.
Ellen and I have never had Covid, rare to be sure, as most of our friends and family did, some more than once. The trouble with that escape is we're not getting younger and it becomes more dangerous to contract.
Certainly there are groups who catch it easier, perhaps related to the disease or to cultural habits that spread it easier. Trump has always displayed a dislike of.... what?--- all but white males, and he'll use any predisposition to something like a racial group to his advantage. I'm always shocked to see people at his rallies (paid?) with signs like "Blacks for Trump". Are they blind? He doesn't like you, and it's pretty obvious with the firings since he took over. Anticipate that unless a group is rich white males, there will be no special attention in the next pandemic.
I don't know where I get it, but I'm starting to share an optimism you once showed back in the campaign. I have a bit more faith in the American people than they seem to display lately. I think this whole thing will blow up about year two, though it will be a terrible time, and Americans will be faced with the task of somehow putting things back together, an improved version, and going forward. A hard road to get there, though.
Unfortunately for all of us non-millionaires, we may all know someone who doesn’t get a cure because of these cuts to medical research. You will probably know someone, or a relative, who will die because care or a pharmaceuticals are not available.
